'Blossom at Blossomfield'

Year 2

Welcome to Year 2!

Welcome to the Year 2 class page! Each week, we will upload the planning and resources for English, Maths and topic. We will always keep the previous weeks planning too incase there is anything you missed. You will also find a timetable, and the newsletter. There may be some resources that we cannot upload due to copyright - if there are any resources mentioned in planning that are not on the website but you feel you need, please email the Year 2 email ( and we will do our best to assist you.

Remote learning!

So, we are back to remote learning again! Each week, as usual, we will upload the planning for English, Maths and Topic (topic include science, PE, RE, DT, art, history, geography, computing and PSHE). We will upload a timetable specific to that week, which tells you which topic subject to look at on which day.

Monday - Thursday, we will call children at 9.15 to do a register, phonics, a physical break and English, and then again at 11.15 to do a story and maths. Children are expected to be present for the entirety of both sessions, every day.

On Friday, we will call everyone at 9.15 to do a register, spelling dictation and a physical break. We will then call children in small groups throughout the day to do some PSHE - a catch up, basically. We will talk about how we have found the week, how we are feeling, maybe play some games, share exciting news etc. The timings for this will be different each week, so you will need to check your calendar tab on the Teams account.

We are still monitoring the Y2 email during working hours, so please email any queries (including lost password queries) to there.

We hope to be back together soon, but in the mean time, let's make the most of remote learning!! Stay safe and well. Love from the Y2 team smiley
