Physical Education (PE)

 

The programmes of study that we follow are:

Foundation Stage: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework. (Physical Development)
Key Stage 1: National Curriculum 2014

 

Subject Leader: Mrs R. Lee

 

  1. Blossomfield, through Physical Education, we aim to give every child the physical literacy, emotional and thinking skills to achieve in PE, sport and life. We use the unique, child-centred approach of Real PE to include, challenge and support every child. (Real PE, Create Development)
  2. part of the Active 30:30 initiative, our children are engaged in regular physical activity – at least 30 minutes of physical activity a day in school, within a range of curriculum areas and at break times. In addition, our school families are encouraged to support their children to engage in a further 30 minutes of physical activity daily.
  1. broad range of sports and activities is offered to all pupils at Blossomfield, from cheerleading to cricket, yoga and golf.
  1. children are able participate in a wide variety of competitive sports, including personal best, intra-school and inter-school competitions and festivals.
